State-wise Vacancy Distribution for IOCL Apprentice 2026 –

The 405 posts are distributed across the states and Union Territories within the Western Region. Maharashtra holds the highest number of seats.

Eligibility Criteria for IOCL Western Region Recruitment –

• Qualifications: The qualification prescribed shall be from a recognized University/Institute as a full-time regular course in relevant disciplines. Qualification acquired through Part-time / Correspondence / Distance Learning mode shall render the candidate NOT ELIGIBLE.
• Essential qualifications: – Technician Apprentice (Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation/Civil/Electrical & Electronics/Electronics): 3 years regular full time Diploma in relevant Engineering with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD). – Trade Apprentice (Fitter/Electrician/Electronics Mechanic/Instrument Mechanic/Machinist): Matric with regular full time 2 year ITI in relevant trade recognized by NCVT/SCVT. – Graduate Apprentice: Regular full time Graduate in any discipline with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD). – Trade Apprentice – Data Entry Operator (Fresher): Class 12th with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD). – Trade Apprentice – Data Entry Operator (Skill Certificate Holders): Class 12th + Skill Certificate of ‘Domestic Data Entry Operator’ for training less than one year.

• Minimum Age: 18 Years

• Maximum Age: 24 Years

Age Relaxation:

• SC/ST: 5 years (up to 29 years)

• PwBD: 10 years (up to 34 years)

Selection Process for IOCL Apprentice Posts –

• Merit list prepared based on percentage of marks in the essential prescribed qualification.
• No written Test/Interview.
• Shortlisted candidates called for document verification and Pre-engagement medical fitness test.

Salary and Stipend –

• Rate of stipend payable to apprentices per month shall be as prescribed under Apprentices Act, 1961/1973, Apprentices Rules 1992/2019/2025 as amended from time to time.

• Technician/Graduate Apprentices: Register at nats.education.gov.in (NATS).

Step 2: IOCL Online Application

1. Visit the official IOCL website: www.iocl.com.

2. Go to the ‘Careers’ section and select ‘Apprenticeships’.

3. Click on the link for “Engagement of Apprentices in Western Region”.

4. Fill in the application form with your Portal Registration Number, personal details, and educational scores.

5. Upload scanned copies of your photograph, signature, and required certificates (10th mark sheet, Caste certificate, etc.).

6. Submit the form and download the PDF for future reference.
